Wild wool is a blend of 75% white Merino and 25% natural coloured Arapawa wool. Arapawa is a heritage breed of sheep from Arapaoa Island in the Marlborough Sounds. Thought to have originated from Merino sheep left there in the mid 19th century.

It is a 8 ply 4 fold yarn which has a beautiful heathered finish. This woollen spun combination of Merino and Arapawa creates a yarn that is very light and bouncy. When knitted the garment is warm with a lovely squishy feel.

The yarn has been hand and machine crafted so each batch varies slightly in colour.
