51% Baby Alpaca
25% Linen
24% Tussah Silk

Named after Lynley Dodd’s popular children’s book character Hairy Maclary, a lovable hairy little mutt.

This “hairy” yarn is plump and lustrous with beautiful drape. Baby alpaca for softness, tussah silk for sheen and linen for texture to produce a very rustic yet luxurious yarn. The linen softens after dyeing and washing and takes up dye differently to the alpaca and silk to produce a subtle marled effect. The pale honey colour of the tussah silk and the unbleached linen add a delicate natural biscuit colour to the yarn producing a wonderful depth of colour when overdyed.

The addition of linen gives this yarn great memory so it is ideal for lacework. Use for unstructured garments, throws, shawls and other lightweight accessories.

Beware of some additional growth of your garment after blocking. Please take this into account when creating your garment.
