As I’ve been getting excited about my trip to the UK in December, I have explored lots of Facebook reels about Scotland. One of my favourite poems as a child was Robert Louis Stevenson’s From a Railway Carriage. This colourway is inspired by the phrase
“Here is a child who clambers and scrambles,
All by himself and gathering brambles”
I spent many a summer afternoon in gathering brambles with my Gran, collecting the berries for jam making.
Warm colours of Boysenberries, Loganberries, Raspberries, Blackberries among the brambles.
Soft machine washable 8 ply 21 micron worsted spun Merino.
- 100g appx 220m
- 4 – 5 mm needles
