80 % NZ Merino / 20% Possum

From the South Island, woollen spun by Wild Earth Yarns, this is a light, airy and bulky 4 Ply weight yarn.

Possum has only short fibres so needs another fibre with which to combine. The Possum adds a dark hair and halo to this naturally coloured yarn base. The dyed yarns have a semi solid heathered look.

Sheep live on food of this colour; a bright heathered kiwi or grass green

Approx 400m per 100g

2.75-3.25 mm needles

28 sts X 36 rows per 10cm (4″)

This yarn could be knit with larger needles and treated like a Sport weight (5 ply) or a light DK (8ply) weight yarn. Please do a tension square to check suitability.

This is a non treated yarn and requires careful, cool, gentle handwashing.
